SSC CHSL Negative Marking 2024 Scheme

Candidates must take care of negative markings in the exams. High accuracy is required to crack the exams with negative markings where candidates can focus on not losing many marks to incorrect questions. The negative marking in the SSC CHSL 2024 exam is discussed below.

Tier-1: There is a deduction of 0.50 marks for every wrong answer.
Tier-2: The marking scheme is different for Tier-2. Sections 1, 2, and the first module of Section 3 have a negative marking of 1 mark for each incorrect answer.
Here are some key things to remember about SSC CHSL negative marking:

It emphasizes accuracy over blind guessing. Aim at attempting only those questions you’re confident about.
Strategize your attempts, especially in Tier 2 where the penalty for a wrong answer is higher.
Manage your time effectively. Don’t get stuck on a single question; move on and attempt others you can answer confidently and come back later if time permits
